Stockmar's priority during product development and production is the quality principle with regard to artistic as well as material and processing aspects.
The selection and combination of colours is based on the natural graduation of the twelve-part colour-circle, in accordance with Goethe's theory of colours.

In order to create products that satisfy this artistic demand, Stockmar has always selected the finest raw materials and manufacturing procedures. The addition of pure beeswax to wax crayons and modelling beeswax, the use of harmless, light-resistant colour-pigments, the brilliance of colours, the easy handling and high yield-value are only a few of the quality characteristics - aside from the educational and therapeutical aspects.

The high quality of Stockmar products is inspected constantly - also with regard to the environment and health. As a result, we have been awarded the German "spiel gut" ("good play") seal of approval, the European "CE" certificate and the American "AP NONTOXIC" distinction.

However, Stockmar not only conforms to the admissible limits set by certain regulations, but has also developed its own clearly more rigid parameters (see also WBU).
